Urodynamic Model of the Lower Urinary Tract

In this article we present a model of the lower urinary tract with the aim of a better understanding of how it functions. Based on urodynamic measurements (intravesical pressure, detrusor pressure, abdominal pressure and electromyography of the external sphincter) we have de veloped a model based on artificial neuronal networks, in particular we have used an Ortogonal Associative Memory. With this model we can study the behavior of the lower urinary tract. The answers obtained from the model during the simulation, as well as the urodynamic curves used, fit those of a human being. The objective is that the results of this study permit an improvement of diagnostic techniques and processing, as well as the development of possible prosthesis.
